Program Overview:

This BS program is conceptualized and designed for students who want a technical program in Economics with stronger emphasis on economics and quantitative analysis so that they can work as economic analysts in governmental agencies, consulting companies, and trade firms, that require economic research and analysis.

In the program, students will learn to make use of mathematics, statistics, and computers to model economic and financial market activities, analyze and arrive at appropriate decisions, and make economics forecasts. With strong mathematical and computational skills, students will have the choice of getting specialized in their area of interest such as Econometrics, Applied Economics, and Game Theoretic approach in Economics, etc.

Graduates of this 4-year program, having studied Computational Mathematics, Statistics and Economics, will have better career opportunities in financial institutions including commercial banks, investment banks, and Insurance companies, Public sector companies, Consulting firms, Government Organizations, etc

4-year

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Economics/Statistics/Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together.

Lateral Entry to Third Year

  1. Candidates who have passed B. Sc Degree from any recognized University with at least 45% marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) with Mathematics/Statistics as a major and have studied mathematics as one of the subjects in XII standard are eligible for admission directly to the third year of BS in Mathematics and Computing program.
  2. However, they will have to undergo a bridge program consisting of core courses in subjects that have not been studied in their B Sc and clear them along with the third year subjects.

Program Overview:

BSin Mathematics & Computing program is an amalgamation of Mathematics and Statistics with Computing Sciences. It provides students with sophisticated mathematical and computational tools & techniques required in modern scientific investigations and technological developments. This is an innovative program conceptualized, designed and launched by REVA University to address the demand of Data Scientists and Computational Specialists in various Industries and R&D Organizations. The curriculum is designed to provide students with in-depth theoretical background, practical training and problem solving in Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science thereby specializing in one of the two streams of a) Data Science & Analytics and b) Scientific Computation.

Civil engineering, recognised as one of the oldest and broadest branches of engineering, is mainly concerned with the design, creation and maintenance of infrastructure facilities in the built and natural environments surrounding us. The civil engineering profession recognizes the reality of limited natural resources, the desire for sustainable practices including life-cycle analysis and sustainable design techniques, and the need for social equity in the consumption of resources.

As a civil engineer, one is entrusted with the highest responsibilities of nation building. There is growing need for innovation in civil engineering to build infrastructure projects that are economical and that function properly with a minimum of maintenance and repair while withstanding anticipated usage and weather; should conserve energy and allow hazard-free construction while providing healthy, safe, and environmentally sound utilization by the society.


Keeping these factors in mind the B Tech in Civil Engineering is designed to produce top class civil engineers to meet present day challenges. The program of study among others includes: structural engineering, concrete technology, transport engineering, water supply and sanitary engineering, geotechnical engineering, fluid mechanics and machinery, structural mechanics, hydrology and water resources, irrigation engineering.

Lateral entry to second year

  1. Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved Institution with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
  2. Passed B. Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) B. and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
  3. Provided that in case of students belonging to B. Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.
  4. Provided further that, the students belonging to B. Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
  5. Provided further that students who have passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE approved Institution or B. Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. However the admissions shall be based strictly on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in A, B, D, and E above.

Lateral entry to fourth year (final year)

  1. Provided further that Students who completed successfully six Semesters in REVA University and have exited with Advanced Diploma in Engineering & Technology (ADET) shall be eligible for admission to the Fourth year B Tech degree courses subject to the vacancies.
  2. Any candidate with genuine reason from any University / Institution in the country upon credit transfer could be considered for lateral admission to the respective semester in the concerned branch of study.

The B Tech in Computer Science & Engineering program architected jointly by industrial and academic experts is aimed at producing graduates with a broad perspective in both software and hardware topics related to computing systems. It provides the foundation and specialized knowledge necessary to analyze, design and evaluate system software, utility programs and software-hardware architectures. The program includes courses in mathematics, science, and engineering. This enables students to design hardware and software solutions for a wide variety of application domains. Students gain hands-on experience in the laboratory courses that complement classroom work, and develop design skills.

Career Opportunities:

Numerous companies from India employ huge number of computer professionals in their Indian and overseas offices. Therefore, students who complete this program successfully have industrial career opportunities in the technical areas as: Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Software Developer, Java Developer, Business Analyst, NET Developer, Web Developer, Systems Administrator, Project Manager, Network Engineer and so on. Electronics drives the world of new technologies in information technology, transportation, internet, wireless communication, telephones, aviation, agriculture, remote sensing, mobiles, robotics, displays, TV, appliances, computers, satellites, medical, security, energy, aerospace, vehicles, arts, theater, movies, cartography, etc.

B Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering program aims to prepare human resources to play a leading role in the continuing adventure of modern automated systems, computers, and communications – researching, designing, building and marketing the next generation of electronic and communication products.

Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) program deals with acquiring knowledge of design and development in Electronic Devices, IC Design, Microprocessor Applications, Analog & Digital Circuits and Systems, Satellite and Microwave Communication Systems, Mobile Communication, Fiber Optics Communication, System Softwares and Embedded Systems.

Program Overview:

The Bachelor of technology in mechanical engineering is a core branch in the field of engineering and technology. This course covers many areas of science and engineering. The course includes design engineering, thermal engineering, manufacturing technology and management aspects. The Syllabus makes students to become strong in fundamentals as well as advanced technologies in mechanical engineering. He/she will become highly thinkable and dynamic leader which will be basic requirement for the today’s competitive world.

Mechanical Engineering focuses basic infrastructure, Energy sector and transportation field. Today the country like India is having a lot of issues in infrastructure, poverty, rural development, power sector and oil & gas. Hence, it is necessary to focus on energy production infrastructure development by doing research on solar energy, bio-fuels and making products environmental friendly like hybrid vehicles, electric vehicles etc.

After the completion of the program, the student will have opportunities to work in the field of aerospace, automobile, energy sector, oil sector, and related research areas. The student having strong knowledge in fundamentals can get an opportunity to serve in top-level organisations like GE, General Motors, BOSCH, SAMSUNG etc., and government institutions like DRDO, ISRO, GTRE, HAL ,NAL, BARC, BHEL etc., Bangalore is a hub for manufacturing in the field of automobile, aerospace and many other products. Students will have placement opportunities in these industries at various levels like engineer, manager and marketing officer. The State governments of various states are also recruiting mechanical engineers as faculty in polytechnics and engineering colleges, engineers in irrigation department, power sector, public work department, rural development and as well as officers in transportation department. There are opportunities in Central Government departments such as Indian railways, Indian Oil Corporation and Defence sector. The mechanical engineering graduates possessing computer programming knowledge can also have opportunities in the software sectors. After the graduation, with a knowledge in practical aspects of mechanical engineering, the student can establish his own industry & become entrepreneur. Further students can take up competitive exams conducted by KPSC, UPSC for administrative posts like IAS, IES, KAS etc.


4 Years

Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Biology / Computer Science / Electronics / Technical Vocational subjects and obtained at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the above subjects taken together

Lateral entry to second year

  1. Passed Diploma examination from an AICTE approved Institution with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) in appropriate branch of Engineering / Technology.
  2. Passed B. Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, with at least 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) B. and passed XII standard with mathematics as a subject.
  3. Provided that in case of students belonging to B. Sc. Stream, shall clear the subjects of Engineering Graphics / Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year Engineering program along with the second year subjects.
  4. Provided further that, the students belonging to B. Sc. Stream shall be considered only after filling the seats in this category with students belonging to the Diploma stream.
  5. Provided further that students, who have passed Diploma in Engineering & Technology from an AICTE approved Institution or B. Sc Degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC, shall also be eligible for admission to the first year Engineering Degree courses subject to vacancies in the first year class in case the vacancies at lateral entry are exhausted. However the admissions shall be based strictly on the eligibility criteria as mentioned in A, B, D, and E above.

Lateral entry to fourth year (final year)

  1. Provided further that Students who completed successfully six Semesters in REVA University and have exited with Advanced Diploma in Engineering & Technology (ADET) shall be eligible for admission to the Fourth year B Tech degree courses subject to the vacancies.
  2. Any candidate with genuine reason from any University / Institution in the country upon credit transfer could be considered for lateral admission to the respective semester in the concerned branch of study.

BBM - Industry Integrated program enables us to reduce the widening gap between Industry and academia. The course curriculum is designed in such a manner that it enables young students to possess and carry the skills and competencies required for the global employment market. Hence, an attempt is made to blend BBM program with the needs of the industry and society. The Program methodology differs significantly from the traditional method. It has a blend of industry exposure with:Internship in Manufacturing Industry; Internship in Service Industry; Internship in NGO; Community Projects; and Business problem based projects. The program helps to develop problem solving strategies and critical thinking in real life situation. It equips students to work effectively as a team member through projects, case studies and problem analysis. It facilitates them to understand to know the Management Reporting System and the indicators to measure company performance.

It also equips you with knowledge of computers and various accounting, quantitative and analytical tools used in decision making. The program provides holistic education to empower and enable students to take-up responsible positions in the industry/business. It helps students to analyse and implement new compliance under indirect taxation system. It provides knowledge about principles of auditing and their applications. It also gives an exposure and strong foundation to accounting packages using tally.
