Report on visit to Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple

In view of enhancing sketching skills an outdoor based activities was carried out for B.Arch. first semester ‘A’ section students by School of Architecture, REVA UNIVERSITY as one day STUDY TRIP to BHOGA NANDEESHWARA TEMPLE, NANDI VILLAGE, CHICKBALLAPUR on Thursday 09th November 2017. To understand the live scale structures, analyze the basic principles of design components which include scale and proportion by means of thumb rule as mode of measuring and then sketching. The trip was carried out for 39 students who were guided and accompanied by two Faculty Artist Ramesh Katti and Architect Kokila Mohan from the school.

The intention of this session was to undertake all kinds of sketching activities for further semesters in all facets of the course and also apply the same in industry during practice. The entire 3 hours session was carried out in two sections one as photography and other as sketches. The outcome of this visit will be completed in A1 sheet size at the end of semester.

Our sincere thanks to the Archeological Survey of India, the entire team in temple premises for co-operating to carry out the sessions. Special thanks to our Hon’ble Chancellor Sir for providing all the necessary facilities from University.
