The School of Computer Science and Applications in association with UIIC is organized a Three Day Skill Development Programme on “ETHICAL HACKING” for I MCA and I MS students from 27-11-2017 to 29-11-2017. Mr. Indraneel Majumdar, Director, Linkmind solutions , Dr. Kulkarni Vice Chancellor , REVA university and Dr. Kiran Kumaripatil Director, UIIC REVA University inaugurated the SDP on 27/11/17 at 9.30 a.m in Library seminar Hall. Mr.Rahul , Trainer from SkillSpeed, Bangalore handled the sessions from 27/11/17 to 29/11/17. The following topics are covered in this programme.


  • Cyber space and importance of security in cyber space
  • Hacking a/ cracking approach
  • Necessity of Hacking
  • Vulnerability research
  • Foot printing
  • Scanning and scanning methods
  • Session hijacking, session sniffing
  • Penetration testing, ROI on penetration testing.


Apart from the above topics group discussions, activities and Assessment test are conducted as part of this programme. All the participants expressed their view that they are very much satisfied with the SDPs and it was more beneficial for them. Finally on 29/11/17, at 3.30 p.m during valedictory function , the certificates for the participants been distributed by the Dr. S. Senthil, Director, school of CSA and Mr. Indraneel Majumdar, Director, Linkmind solutions.
