How to Apply?

A single window system is adopted for admission to all Programs including Ph D.

Attach copies of the following supporting documents as provided in the application form.

  • Marks cards of all the years /semesters (Graduate and Post Graduate).
  • Certificate of proof of Date of Birth, preferably SSLC certificate.
  • Caste community certificate.
  • Income certificate.
  • Conduct/study certificate.
  • UGC- JRF, NET/ SLET/ SET/GATE certificates if any.
  • opy of Passport and copy of VISA (for foreign candidates only).
  • No Objection Certificate from the employer, if employed.

Applicants may fill-in and submit the application forms online on the University website. The online application can be processed following the instructions given here under.

Steps to Apply Online
  • Register & Confirm password: Candidate should fill the correct Name and Date of Birth as they appear in Class X marks card and it is mandatory to provide valid email id. Immediately on filling up of the information, a password will be sent to your mail id. Login with the email id and recieved password to proceed with online application form
  • Filling up of online application form: Kindly refer the Information Brochure carefully, before filling the application form. Fields Marked with red are mandatory and accurate information is solicited. Do not leave blank field unless it is not relevant to you.
  • Selection of Mode of Payment: Select the appropriate mode of Payment as DD mode or Net Banking. Immediately on submission of the application form at this stage, an Application Number will be generated. Candidates are requested to note down the Application Number and all the future correspondence will be made on this Application Number only.

Instructions for Payment through Demand Draft(DD)

  • A Demand Draft for Rs.1000.00 drawn in favour of the 'REVA University', payable at Bangalore to be kept ready. Enter the Demand Draft details in the online form as required.
  • Write your Application Number, Name, Address and Mobile Number on the back side of the Demand Draft.
  • The submitted form along with all the enclosures including the DD to be sent to the Admission Office of REVA University.

Note : For candidates who do not have the Demand Draft available at the time of filling the application form may log out and re log in after making the draft and proceed with form filling from.

Instructions for Payment through NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer)

  • Details of the applicant: fill in your Name, Address, the Bank details etc.
  • Details of the Beneficiary: fill in the following :

    • IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) of Karnataka Bank Limited: KARB0000666

    • Amount to be remitted: Rs. 1000.00
  • Ensure to collect the customer counterfoil and UTR ( Unique Transaction ) Number
  • The filled application form along with all the enclosures including “Customer Counterfoil” with your name, application number, course applying for, contact number written on the back to be sent to the Admissions Office of REVA University, Bangalore.
  • You are advised to keep a copy of the Customer Counter foil for your future references.

Applicants can download the application and apply directly to the university. The following instructions explain how to download an application form from this website. Downloading an application form allows you to complete it and submit it to REVA University.

Steps to Download Application Form
    • Download & Print the Application Form: Click on the 'Download Application' button above to download the form to your computer for viewing or priniting, now or at a later date. Right-click the application file and then click Print.
    • Fill up the Application Form: Refer to the Information Brochure before filling the application form. Kindly fill the mandatory fields and with accurate information. On the form the fields outlined in red are required fields. Application Form must be completed and the declaration should be signed.
    • Payment Procedure: Make payment through a DD of Rs.1000/- drawn in favor of "REVA University" payable at Bangalore
    • Submission of the form to the university:Enclose application form and all other related documents and post the sealed document to the below adddress.

Admision Selection Process

Eligibility Criteria for a Candidate

A Candidate shall have Masters Degree of any University / Institution or any other Degree / Diploma recognised as equivalent thereto, with a minimum of 55% (50% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category) marks or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) or an equivalent Grade. However, this condition is relaxed to 50% in case of SC/ST candidates.

The registration for PhD is through REVA University Entrance Examination (REVAUEE – PhD), Interview and Counseling. However, candidates with following back ground are exempted from the entrance examination and they will be called for interview and counseling along with those candidates who have cleared entrance examination for provisional registration to PhD program.

  • Candidates who are qualified UGC-JRF / UGC-CSIR Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and those who have such other equivalent research fellowships are exempted from the entrance examination.
  • Candidates who have qualified lectureship only in the UGC-NET/SET/GATE examinations and those who have possessed M Phil in respective subjects are exempted from the Entrance Examination.
  • The Foreign Nationals and NRIs who have a Foreign Degree are exempted from taking the Entrance Examination. However, Foreign Nationals and NRIs with Indian degree are required to take the Entrance Examination.
  • The sponsored/deputed candidates if any are also exempted from the Entrance Examination.

Selection Procedure

Entrance Test, Interview and Counseling for PhD programs

  • The Selection of the candidates for provisional admission to PhD program will be based upon the Entrance Examination, Interview, Presentation on research area and Counseling..
  • The weightage to the entrance test, interview, and presentation on research area are as follows:
    • Written Test : 50 marks
    • Interview : 30 marks
    • Presentation of Research Area : 20 marks
    • Total: 100 marks
  • The Written Test will be of ONE HOUR duration and consist of 50 objective questions, each carrying one mark;
  • The syllabus for entrance examination will be the syllabus the UGC-CSIR National Eligibility Test (NET)/GATE Examination.
  • The Candidate has to bring five copies of research area presentation in the template given below.
  • The list of selected candidates will be hosted on university website within 2 days of the entrance test, interview and counseling.
  • No separate intimations/ information in any form will be sent to the candidates about the results of entrance examination and admission.
  • The selected Candidates have to produce all original certificates and 3 copies of the pass port size photographs along with prescribed fees and seek admission within one week after announcement of the results failing which they will forfeit their selection for provisional registration
Documents Required for interview cum counselling
    • Original marks cards of prescribed qualification such as two year PUC/10+2 examination.
    • Proof of date of birth, preferably SSLC/10th examination pass certificate.
    • Three copies of latest passport size photographs.
    • No due certificate from the employer (in case employed).

Candidates selected should take admission after payment of prescribed fee in full within the notified date failing which they will automatically forefeet the seat.

Those candidates who are registered for PhD should have to undergo course work of One Semester of SIX months and follow necessary conditions in the "REVA University Regulations governing the Standards and Procedures for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), 2013.

Terms and Conditions

Students are required to abide by the following terms and conditions upon admission to the courses offered by REVA University.

  • Every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information contained in this website and it is issued on the express condition that all matters in it are subject to change from time to time without notice. While the University will make all reasonable endeavors to deliver the courses of study and other educational services as set out in this website, circumstances may change prompting the University to reserve the right to vary the content and delivery of courses and programs, to either discontinue or combine courses and programs or to discontinue educational services.
  • The subject titles, descriptions and contents are subject to change based on the University guidelines.
  • The fee schedule for the courses offered by the University can be downloaded at Fees payable for the courses offered by the University are subject to review periodically. Ensuring that fees are paid before the announced due dates is the sole responsibility of the student. Non-payment of the prescribed fees within the due dates will result in the cancellation of the registration to the course or to the subsequent semester/year.
  • Students will also be liable for any travel and accommodation costs incurred for placement. For certain courses, students may incur additional specific charges for such items or activities as sports and games fees, value added programs, specialized material or field trips. The University reserves the right to make additional charges to students for such activities.
  • REVA University does not accept responsibility and expressly excludes all liability that may result from any loss, damage or injury caused to a student or to the student's property.
  • Students enrolled in the courses offered by the University are required to sign an undertaking at the time of the commencement of the academic year consenting to abide by the rules, regulations and the code of conduct of the University.
  • Scholarships are available to support full-time study at the University for resident Indian nationals only. Each year the University awards several scholarships in the form of fee remission to outstanding candidates. These scholarships of positive inclusive effort vary in value and have different criteria on which they are awarded. For further details, please visit
  • Policy regarding withdrawal from the course:
    • The Registration Fee will not be refunded by the University under any circumstances. The primary objective of this stipulation is to discourage frivolous applications.
    • 75% of the fee paid will be considered if a candidate withdraws from the course prior to its commencement. Such a candidate must submit the duly-signed cancellation application form to the Office of Admissions before the commencement of the course.
    • 50% of the fee paid will be considered if a candidate withdraws from the course commenced date. Such a candidate must submit the duly-signed cancellation application form to the Office of Admissions within 15 days of the course commenced date.
    • No claim of refund of tuition fees can be made if withdrawal from the course is made after 15 days of the course commenceddate.
  • Disputes of any kind are subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts in Bengaluru only
