Electronics & Communication Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering is an engineering discipline that involved design, development, manufacture, and deployment of Electronic and Communication systems. It deals with electronic devices, circuits, communication equipment like transmitter, receiver, integrated circuits (IC), analog, and digital transmission and reception of data, voice and video, microprocessors, satellite communication, microwave engineering, antennae and wave progression. Signal and Image Processing, Communication Technologies, Embedded Systems, and VLSI Systems are some of the specialised areas available in electronics for further study.
Computer Science Engineering
Computer Science Engineering (CSE) encompasses a variety of topics that relates to computation such as the development of algorithms, analysis of algorithms, programming languages, software design, and computer hardware. Computer Science engineering has roots in electrical engineering, mathematics, and linguistics. In the past, computer Science was taught as part of mathematics or engineering departments, but in the last 3 decades, it has emerged as a separate engineering field. In the present information era (Knowledge era), computer science and engineering will see exponential growth as the future machines work on artificial intelligence.
Mechanical Engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of physics and materials science for design, analysis, prototyping, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. Mechanical engineering deals with interconversion of thermal and mechanical power and the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.
Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Electrical Engineering is a discipline of engineering that utilises natural resources for generation, transmission and utilisation of electric power. In addition, electrical engineering deals with the design, analysis, prototyping, manufacturing, and maintenance of electrical generators, electric motors, transformers, transmission and distribution equipment, wiring and lighting, and electrical appliances. In the recent past, the use of electronics for the control of electrical systems is gaining importance and the discipline is known as Electrical and Electronics Engineering instead of pure Electrical Engineering. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines. The present-day electrical engineers focus on the use of renewable sources such as solar photovoltaic, wind and other non-renewable energy sources for power generation.
The Civil Engineering curriculum developed by the faculty at the School of Civil Engineering is an outcome-based curriculum and it comprises required theoretical concepts and practical skills in the domain. By undergoing this program, students develop critical, innovative, creative thinking and problem-solving abilities for a smooth transition from academic to a real-life work environment. In addition, students are trained in interdisciplinary topics and attitudinal skills to enhance their scope and knowledge. Electrical & Computer Engineering
Electrical and Computer Engineering is a 4-year undergraduate course divided into 8 semesters, each lasting for 6 months of duration. As students of this programme, there is a flexibility to choose their own soft-core subjects starting from the 4th semester. ECE offers vibrancy and depth in a wide range of areas that will open doors to almost any career one can imagine.
