RESOLUTIONS 2019

RESOLUTIONS 2019

The New Year 2019 begins and so, we all decide and pen down in our diaries our Resolutions for the year ahead. How many of these will be followed and achieved by the end of the year is always a question to ask ourselves. However, I personally feel a resolution enables us to be firm and determined about at least a few things in our life. Over the years Resolutions have become more of a tradition. Every person young or old who I come across and meet with during this time of the year talks about how he or she has resolved to changes something in the new year. I strongly feel Resolutions made should have personal goals, professional goals, and goals that enable us to improve our lives. Also, this calls for a little bit of structure in our system as we make it a point to pin down our priority resolutions either our diary or pin them up in a place where it is easily visible to us on a day to day basis. This serves as a reminder note that redirects us if at all we have digressed. Otherwise, I am sure these resolutions get broken within a few hours of them have been written.

The year of 2018 has been eventful to all of us at REVA, with the last achievement being of REVA being selected as the Brand of the year byAsia One. We have been ranked as the topmost emerging University, our B- School has made us proud with all the rankings and surveys and Awards and Accolades that have come our way throughout the year. All of this is due to the hard work and support from each of you! Kudos to you Team REVA! As I look ahead, I am sure there is a lot for us to achieve and there should be nothing deterring us from this goal. We have been through many developments in the last year and some of them have been notable and favourable to us at the University. Tome, a professional goal and resolution for the year ahead would be to seek new paths of glory for the University, creating a roadmap for us to get there and ensure we carefully execute all that we have planned through our series of meetings and not to forget the last REVASummit. We at REVA have to lead and this is possible with a lot of strategies and careful and sensitive implementation of all our set targets.

Our current world of the young is challenging for all of us to work in. Demands are soaring and so is the pressure on deliverables and bringing in quality in education. While academic rigor is our priority, our other conscious need is our contribution to society, which as I keep reiterating is my passion. We must not lose sight of this priority either and initiatives like Jagruti should be taken forward. No matter what, academics and research, consultancy and projects will continue to be our sustained priority.

It is important for us at REVA to use our time wisely and move forward swiftly. All of this is possible if each of you shares a resolution for the University with me. I encourage each of you to focus on your priorities and let it so happen that one of your Resolutions for the new year 2019 also has a professional goal setting and all of us decide to work together on this.

These are some of my Resolutions that I thought I must share with you and am convinced that you will also prioritize your Resolutions and focus on them.
Happy New Year to your family and let us begin the new year with good spirits! God bless!
