Bioinformatics & Computational Biology is an emerging field where biological and computational disciplines converge. The field encompasses the development and application of computational tools and techniques for the collection, analysis, management, and visualization of biological data, as well as modeling and simulation methods for the study of biological systems. Essential to the 21st century life sciences research and key to our understanding of complex biological systems, Bioinformatics & Computational Biology is making an impact on the science and technology of fields ranging from healthcare, agricultural, energy and environmental sciences to pharmaceutical and medical sciences.
B.Sc bioinformatics is multidisciplinary science with triple major combination of biology, mathematics and computer science. We will train the students with analytical and numerical methods of applied biological, mathematical and computational problems to address and solve pressing challenges in all areas of science and engineering. Subjects are taught in this program with hands on experience in Bioinformatics, drug discovery, genomics and proteomics, Molecular Biology and Genetics, Microbiology and Biochemsitry, Computer programming in C, C++, JAVA, PERL, PYTHON, ORACLE, RDBMS, Biostatistics, Mathematical Modelling etc.
After few years of graduation, the graduates of B. Sc (Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics) will be able to:

On successful completion of the program, the graduates of B. Sc (Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics) program will be able to:
PO 1. Science knowledge: Apply the knowledge of bioinformatics for the solution of complex biological problems to understand the molecular functions of organism.
PO 2. Problem analysis: Bioinformatics can solve some of the biological problems based on the gene identification, protein identification and structure prediction. Drug discovery to
predict the exact drug to the disease targets and also to produce some solutions on statistical interpretations.
PO 3. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
