Medical laboratory Technology is a branch of medical science that involves performing of clinical laboratory investigations which is the first step in the diagnoses of any disease for treatment and prevention. This course widely covers preclinical subjects such as Biochemistry, Pathology, Microbiology, Haematology and Basics in handling of medical laboratory equipment. The programme provides enormous knowledge and training to interested candidates, which enables them to be placed in different clinical diagnostic laboratories. Students enrolled in B.Sc MLT are imparted training in laboratory management ethics through practical sessions, internal assessments, viva-voce and internship training programs/clinical postings in all the semesters. The associated laboratories/hospitals are Elbit, Teekays Diagnostics, Central Laboratory, Baptist hospital and Columbia Asia hospitals where students will gain hands-on experience via Clinical postings. These professionals play an important role in collecting, sampling, analysing, reporting and documenting of clinical investigations.
Passing in 10+2 with Biology as compulsory subject. Scoring at least 45% marks(40% in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST category)and also Diploma in MLT from any recognized Board/Council or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to.
