Nutrition and Dietetics is an integrated and a professional program preparing students to work as Nutritionists and Dieticians and explore how it affects the health of the individual and the nation, and also to discover how diet can be used in the treatment of disease. This programme teaches the students to apply nutritional science in order to promote health and to treat medical conditions. As a dietitian they work with people to help them modify their food intake, offering practical advice to enable them to make dietary changes. It is a health-related career which involves translating the sciences of nutrition and food to promote good health. It is a vital and growing profession with ample career opportunities. The internship/training program with various hospitals and food industries provide opportunities to practice and master the core competencies to place its students in covetable jobs.
 
B.Sc. nutrition and dietetics studies the relationship between the body as well as food. Subjects covered under this degree are chemistry, biochemistry, food science and technology, dairy technology and polymer chemistry etc. The duration of the course is three years, but it depends on the institute rules and regulations. The course is very valuable and career originating in nature that opens a lot of job scopes after its completion.

After completing the BSc Nutrition and dietetics course, a candidate has both self-employment and job opportunities open. A candidate can choose to start his own nutrition Clinic and become self-employed, or he can apply for the position of Nutritionist and dietician in various hospitals, gyms, and Health Care clinics. Nutrition and diet is always in demand, so nutritionists and dietitians are always in demand.
