The School of Computer Science and Applications at REVA UNIVERSITY offers Master of Computer Applications (MCA), a postgraduate program to create motivated, innovative, creative and thinking graduates to fill the roles of software Engineers who can conceptualize, design, analyze and develop computer software to meet the modern-day industry requirements.
The program is designed to meet the growing demand for qualified professionals in the field of Computer Applications. The MCA program is inclined more toward application development and thus has more emphasis on the latest programming languages and tools to develop better and faster applications. It covers various aspects of computational theory, network and database management, mobile technologies, electronics, mathematics, probability, statistics etc. The program also deals with operation research, user interface design, M-commerce, e-commerce, internet of things, mobile computing, software testing and quality assurance, big data analytics, and many such areas intended to meet IT industry requirements.

MCA (Regular): Bachelors Degree of three years with Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science Programming / Computer Application / Business Mathematics/Business Statistics as one of the major/optional subjects with minimum of 50% (45% in case of SC/ST) marks in aggregate from any recognized university/institution or any other qualification recognized as equivalent there to.
Course Duration: 6 Semesters (3 Years)
MCA (Lateral Entry): Candidates who have completed Bachelors Degree of minimum three years duration with at least 50% (45% in case of ST/ST category) of marks in BCA or B Sc ( IT / Computer Science) with Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level or at graduate level are directly admitted to the 3rd semester (2nd year) of the 6-semester MCA program.
