A report on “Newer Trends of Drug Discovery and Enzyme Biotherapeutics”
As a part of Science Appreciation Club activity, we the Department of Chemistry in association with Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, School of Applied Sciences, REVA University, Bangalore organized an Industry Expert R&D Lectureon “Newer Trends of Drug Discovery and Enzyme Biotherapeutics” on 11th March 2019 at 9 AM in the Seminar Hall-1, Basement, Vivekananda Block, REVA University for the students of M.Sc.., Chemistry, Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Research scholars and Staff. The expert lecture was delivered by: Dr. Ramesh Babu Boga Ph.D. President & CEO BogaRLaboratoties LLC, USA.
He explained about the Challenging tasks encountered during the development of new drugs for various new diseases, New Chemical Entities (NCEs) – origin, structure determination and synthesis, Launching new inventions to the market, DNA-encoded chemical libraries and their utilities, Application of Enzyme Technology for new drug discovery in pharma and biotechnology
Then session concluded with encouraging thoughts and Dr. Babu also shared opportunities in his company in India and USA. Before the presentation, Dr. Ramesh Babu Boga also felicitated by Dr. Ramesh, Dr. Divakar, Dr. M. S. Reddy, Dr. Seeta Rama Raju and Dr. Nagendra, as a token of gratitude on behalf of REVA University.
