A workshop on Introduction to Android Application Development

Description: School of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Coder’s Club has successfully organized a workshop on “Introduction to Android application development” on 19th of September , 2020 . Delegates attending the webinar were students from the School of ECE,School of C&IT and others in the presence of faculty coordinator Prof. J Chaitra Nayak and Professors of C&IT and ECE .
The workshop was conducted by resource persons of the coder's club Mr. Niran and Mr. Shreevallabha. Having more than 59 participants including students and Faculties of REVA University C&IT and ECE actively attended the session.
The event began at 11:00AM  where all the participants were asked to login  and register onto the given portal prior to the event and being conducted on MS Teams. The duration of the event was one hour and thirty minutes. The participants were highly enthusiastic about this event. Prerequisites of the workshop were given to participants 2 days prior. Students successfully built an “Dice rolling” application. The event ended with discussion of doubts with the students and positive feedback from professors and students.

The key highlights of the programme were:
1. A brief introduction to Android.
2. Concept of Android Architecture. 
3. The methods of developing applications. 
4. Carrier as an android app development.
5. Introduce an android app studio.
6. Build a small android app[ Dice game].
                 
We would like to thank our beloved Chancellor, Dr. P. ShyamaRaju sir for providing all facilities and support to conduct this programme. Respected Vice Chancellor sir, Registrar Dr M.Dhanamjaya sir, for their motivation, help and support to conduct this webinar.We also thank our Director, School of ECE, Dr. R C. Biradar sir, and Assistant Director Dr. K M Sudarshan sir for their constant support and always motivating us to organize such events in School of ECE. An extended thank you to our faculty coordinator Prof.J Chaitra Nayak and our resource persons Niran and Shreevallabha  without whom the event wouldn’t have been a great success.
