The Department of Psychology had organised an extension activity for creating awareness on “Child Sexual Abuse” on 3rd October 2019. 20 students from 3rd Semester B.A were trained on the modules of “Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Programme. The trained students were later made into 4 groups and they trained 6th and 7th standard students of Government Higher Primary School, Kattigenahalli. The programme was aimed to educate students about different types of child sexual abuse, which is much more than the convention concept of Good Touch and Bad Touch. Children were also trained about preventive strategies. The programme was more of activity and interaction based to make it more interesting to students. The Head Madam of the School, Ms. Subhashini expressed her gratitude for hosting such an informative programme for the school students. Students of REVA university were also motivated to host similar events in the future. The school students also enjoyed and appreciated the programme.
