WALL PAINTING AT BBMP MATERNITY HOSPITAL, WILSON GARDEN
“Hosa Usiru” is a project of the Directorate of Urban Land Transport (DULT), that aims to reclaim and reimagine spaces within the early-childhood amenities like maternity hospitals and anganwadis to provide safe, comfortable and playful spaces for children and their caregivers.
The BBMP Maternity Hospital is located in Wilson Garden, Bengaluru which provides diverse services. The patients are generally accompanied by family members or friends who generally wait outside the building as only the patient is allowed inside the building.
The space lacks dignified seating and waiting area for the patients and caretakers, and a playful space for children. Therefore, the design intervention aimed to create a safe, comfortable, and playful space for caregivers and children.
