Alumni Talk On Career Orientation

The Department of Biotechnology, School of Applied Sciences organized an alumni talk on “Career Orientation” on 15th October, 2022 by Mr. Tammireddi Jyoteesh (Alumni 2011-2013 Batch) for the final year M.Sc Biotechnology and B.Sc. students. Mr. Tammireddi Jyoteesh is currently working as Research Associate at ITC Limited (ITD Division), Bengaluru. He delivered a talk on natural essences, flavoring agents used as food additives and beverages during processing of foods. To get a better understanding, he brought samples and showed the same to students which are presently employed in the food sector as natural essences and flavoring agents. He also deliberated on the opportunities provided ITC in the field of food, beverages, agriculture, cosmetics etc.

Mr. Jyoteesh also guided the students to take up competititive examinations namely CSIR-NET, SLET, ICMR-JRF, GATE, IELTS, TOEFL, DBT-JRF and others. He also gave an overview of the opportunities in higher studies and research in India and abroad.
