The target audience of the guest talk was the first semester Industry Integrated B.B.A. students who were to be introduced to the better ways of handling themselves and others. Being freshers’, there was a need felt to introduce students to their seniors who are doing exceptionally well in their selected fields.

To orient the students towards different aspects of building interpersonal relations, as a first in the series, Mr. Abais Khureshi, a graduate in BBM who passed out from RISM in the year 2016 was invited. Abais is currently working as the senior accounts manager at TE Connectivity, Bangalore. He has about three years of experience and in the due course has done remarkably well with certain achievements to his credit. A vivid orator he has hosted several shows at the corporate level. He also has hosted several stand up comedy shows, event management shows to name a few. While being a student, he was a part of various committees in the university and has contributed immensely towards conducting various activities both at the intra and the inter university levels. Reconginizing his potential, he was invited as a guest speaker to address the first year UG students in the area of developing interpersonal relationships.

Abais with the help of videos and games, introduced to the students, the requirement of creativity and importance of the same in developing good relations. He quoted the examples of Raltz Carlton, Walt Disney and the likes in his attempt to motivate the students. He was successful in keeping the students engaged through out the session with the help of different games and activities.

The students thoroughly enjoyed the session and also took away key points like the need for creativity, better communication skills, team work, listening skills etc. to be successful.

The session was attended by over 150 first year students and ended with the formal vote of thanks by the students.
