The "Anatomy of a PC: Disassemble, Learn, Reassemble" workshop was conducted to provide students with practical exposure to the inner workings of a personal computer. The activity was designed to help students understand the role and interconnections of various PC components by systematically disassembling, analyzing, and reassembling a desktop computer.
Personal computers are at the heart of modern engineering, powering everything from software development to complex simulations. For engineers, understanding the hardware inside a PC is just as important as mastering the software it runs. A well-optimized system can improve efficiency, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance overall performance—skills that are invaluable in any engineering field.
To bridge the gap between theory and hands-on expertise, Dr. Harsha B K led an engaging PC Anatomy Workshop at REVA University. Students had the unique opportunity to disassemble and reassemble desktop computers, exploring each component’s function and significance. This interactive session not only deepened their technical knowledge but also encouraged problem-solving, teamwork, and practical application of engineering principles.
