About the Event: Seminar on Sustainable use of Natural stone in Architecture.
Architects’ perspective on origin of stones and efficient way of reusing them in Architecture projects in realm of Structural Load bearing construction, Exterior cladding, Landscaping and Interiors inlays. Architects should be more responsible to employ local people, makes it sensible and affordable for a common man. He should be able to enjoy the fruit of sustainability use only were stones are actually required. Suggested deglobalization and use of more regional locally available stone materials like travertine, onyx, extravagant veins in marble.
Flooring as a interface of a space giving an intimate feel and closeness to the dwellings, due to Work from home there was a rush in home renovation and people preferred more natural sense. 
Post pandemic trends of automation that impact the stone industry, awareness about environmental product declaration, European countries focus on Energy efficiency and sustain the use of stones in a best possible way. Porcelain industry copy stone imitating natural stone, Artificial stones are reinforced as luxury products were discussed, Stone as new trends in furniture, Storage combination of stone with other materials. Mining industry to be conscious about retaining the existing Biodiversity of the quarries to make effort and restore the habitat for existence of living organisms.
Ar. Jaigopal Rao addressed about responsible tourism and wellness coated few examples of his projects like SwaSwara in Gokarna, a wellness retreat resort, GRT Resorts Yercaurd.
Exhibition of stone cutting and polishing machineries, Tools, adhesives, variety of Stone and Marbles materials were displayed.
