Association of Indian University's (AIU) 35TH Inter University South zone youth festival competitions

REVA University has bagged first place in the classical dance solo category and second place in the overall team event in the dance field at the prestigious competitions of Association of Indian Universities South-zone competitions, Alagu fest, 2019. The REVA University’s School of Performing Arts (SoPA) student Nayana N.V has bagged first prize in the classical dance category through her scintillating Kuchipudi dance and booked a berth in the National level competitions which will be held in Delhi.

REVA University was proud to present a contingent of talented students at the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) 35TH Inter University South zone youth festival held at Alagappa University in Karaikudi from the 18th to the 22nd of December, 2019. The School of Performing Arts of REVA University is the only one university in South India that offers various PG, UG, Diploma and Certificate programmes in classical dances in Bharatanatyam, Kuchipudi, odissi, Mohiniattam and Kathak.
 
We had student representation from the REVA Schools of Performing Arts, Commerce and Computer Science and Applications respectively. The following students also participated in the various categories are Ramya M, Manasi R, Koundinya, Asvin, Nikshith Gowda, Vyshnavi, Sushma, Niramaya, Prakarsha, Leena, Anuraag, Keerthana. Team manager Prof.Anandraj Gonwar and faculty member, Prof .Vrinda from the School of Performing Arts led the team and accompanied them for the prestigious event.

This is the first time that the REVA University Cultural team has forayed into the Association of Indian Universities’ Arena.
