Under the REVA Abhivriddhi programme, School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences along with School of Legal Studies organised an awareness programme through Legal Aid Clinic on Educational Rights and Child Rights at the adopted Government Higher Primary School, Sonnappanahalli in Bengaluru on 10th March 2021.
A team of 3 faculty members and 20 student core team of Legal Aid Clinic visited the adopted school at 11 a.m on 10 March 2021 and spread awareness on the educational and child rights. The programme was started by Ms. Youktha Manjunath with a thought provoking quote on educational rights. Professor Soujanya delivered the keynote address by highlighting the importance of education and child rights followed by an attractive skit performed by Manu Karthik and his team. Another speech on child rights was delivered by Rannika and a song on education rights was sung by Prof. Swati Reddy & team. Lakshmi delivered a speech on teacher-student relationship. Finally, Dr. Nagaraja highlighted the relevance of ethical values in students’ life; importance and application of the child rights and educational rights. There was also an exhibition of 20 charts by student core team of Legal Aid Clinic. The programme was appreciated by the students and teachers of Government Higher Primary School, Sonnappanahalli, Bengaluru.
