Description of Event:
The NSS , REVA University, Bengaluru had deployed Volunteers for “Biodiversity Park Inauguration ”on 20th September 2022 at NAAC Office from 11:00 am to 2 pm.
The Inauguration program started at 11.00 am by welcoming the guests for the day Sri V Somanna, Honorable Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development, Government of Karnataka & Prof. S C Sharma, Director of NAAC. The guests Inaugurated the Biodiversity park at NAAC office and planted a sapling to mark the opening ceremony, followed by the lighting of lamp, then the welcome speech was delivered by Prof S C Sharma , Director of NAAC who in detail explained importance of Nature and how it should be preserved in this fast-growing times, followed by felicitation of the Chief Guest of the Day Sri V Somanna. Later Sri V Somanna, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure addressed the gathering and motivated everyone to contribute towards biodiversity preservation. The Vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. S Srinivas, Deputy Advisor ,NAAC.The program ended with group photo Session.
