Department of Biochemistry in association with REVA Health centre conducted a Blood Test for all the Staff members of REVA university in order to assess their health conditions when the staff reported back to work after the Nation-wide lockdown due to COVID-19. The test was conducted starting from May 4th, 2020 and went on till June 10th,2020 depending on the date when the staff members reported. Staff members who were in quarantine at the REVA University’s guest house and staff quarters were also monitored by conducting their Blood Test. Only once the report was clear, the staff was allowed to continue else they were sent on quarantine. Dr Gale Kathleen, Consultant Pathologist and HOD-Pathology at Elbit Diagnostics Ltd was instrumental in inferring the results. We were also assisted by clinician, Mr Bhavi Reddy, Yelahanka Standard Diagnostics. This was a wonderful initiative by the department and the University to control the spread of coronavirus and also to keep the ill person at bay.
