About the Event/Activity: School of Architecture, REVA University organized a case study visit to Locul Hostel in Vasanth Nagar as a part of the Architectural Design Studio -III for the backpacker / hostel project.

The main idea behind the case study visit was to introduce the students to the concept of backpacking, solo travelling, the activities associated with it and the spatial requirements of such a building typology.

The word Locul is an amalgamation of location and culture. The hostel provides a unique experience and speaks to the cultural soul of travelers. There are 3 locations of this hostel chain in Bengaluru, namely – Locul Uptown in Abshot Layout, Vasanth Nagar, Locul Midtown in Indiranagar and Locul Central in Church Street.
