City Visit to Library Exhibition on Public Spaces at IIHS City Campus, Sadashivnagar

As part of the sixth semester Architectural Design Studio (B Section) the students are to design a multi-disciplinary campus. As an ice breaker session, they first ended up designing public / social / interactive spaces in and around campuses that become the lung spaces for a campus to thrive. For them to have a better understanding of the academic work that has been done for public spaces in the Indian context as well as internationally, students visited the library exhibition at IIHS Sadashivnagar.
The librarian took them through the various journals, books, reports that were up on display and a discussion on how this information could inform students better in their design was had. Students also explored other parts of the library, referred to maps and books on Bangalore.
