The School of Commerce, through the Cultural Heritage Club, organized a Three - day celebration highlighting India's diverse cultural traditions. The event featured a variety of artistic, storytelling, and performance-based activities to engage students in an immersive cultural experience.
Day 1 - 17th Feb - Lippan Art (Mandala Art) – A session focusing on the intricate and traditional art forms of India, enhancing students' artistic skills and cultural knowledge.
Day 2 - 18th Feb -Storytelling Session – A captivating session aimed at reviving the oral tradition of storytelling, enriching students' understanding of Indian folklore and narratives.
Day 3 - 19th Feb - Classical Dance Workshop – Embrace the Essence of Bharatanatyam from Vid. Smt. Suma Sridhar, Professional Bharatanatyam Dancer, Founder of Noopura Kalakendra, Germany, and an active member of Rashtriya Sevika Samithi, Matru Bhumika Seva Samithi & Matru Bharati. The workshop provided students with an introduction to Bharatanatyam, covering its historical significance, foundational postures, and intricate movements.
Overall, the Cultural Heritage Celebration was a remarkable success, engaging students in meaningful cultural activities and fostering a deeper appreciation for India's rich traditions.
