Description: School of Electronics and Communication Engineering organized a Cultural Talk on “Dance- A Journey” on 22nd July 2020 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.The resource person was Mrs. Chaitra Nayak J.

Chaitra Nayak J serving as Assistant Professor in School of ECE, REVA University. She has completed her M.Tech. in Data Engineering and MA in Bharatanatyam. She has worked as Data Engineer in an IT firm. She is practicing Bharatanatyam from past 15 Years.
Achievements : 
•    Chaitra has completed Junior and Senior grade exam in Bharatanatyam securing high first class 
•    Performed Rangapravesha at ADA Rangamandira in 2013.
•    She has won awards in inter college, inter district and state level competitions.
•    She was invited as judge for intercollege dance competitions around Bangalore.
•    She owns her Dance institute In Ramamurthynagar, Bangalore and trains more than 25 students.

India is a land of traditions, rich with heritage and varied culture. The concept of dance has become an integral part of everyone’s life. We dance in all situations for any of the reasons. The talk delivered about our nation’s culture, origin, evolution, and revival of Indian Classical dances.
It also comprised:
•    History of dance
•    Indian classical dance
•    Dark age of dance
•    Revival of dance
•    Benefits & advantages of dance
The talk was attended by more than 53 attendees from across the schools and got insights in to the field of Performing art: Classical Dance.
We would like to thank our beloved Chancellor, Dr. P. ShyamaRaju sir for providing all facilities and support to conduct this programme. Registrar Dr M. Dhanamjaya sir, for their motivation, help and support to conduct webinar.
We also thank our Director, School of ECE, Dr. R C. Biradar, and Assistant Director Dr. K M Sudarshan for their constant support and always motivating us to organize such events in School of ECE.  We thank the faculty and technical staff of School of ECE and student fraternity for attending and supporting us to conduct the Webinar successfully.
