SDC Workshop:  Digital 3D making tricks
Resource Person: Ar. Ujjal Halder
Venue: Computer Lab. 2, School of Architecture, REVA University
Semester: 6th Semester
No. of Students: 16 students
Dates: 31st January 2nd and 3rd February 2019

To demonstrate the architectural work, the best way is to illustrate through 3D models. However, making digital 3D model is quite a complicated process and time consuming as well. Hence, the senior students of Architecture, needed a formal training to learn the shortcut and tricks to make 3D model efficiently and on time.
For that we have an inhouse faculty member Asst. Prof. Ujjal Halder, who has worked on plenty of 3D modelling assignment from small to large scale projects. He has excelled in delivering qualitative work in short period of time. He has developed various tricks to prepare 3D models in limited time and resources.
Day 1: SketchUp Plug-in: Organic and complicated geometric shape by using sketchUp plug-in.

Day 2: 3DS Max: Basic model making tools, use of 3DS max, tricks for making quick 3D and interrelationship with other 3D making software.

Day 3: Rendering and Photoshop: Quick and efficient rendering techniques in both SketchUp and 3D Max. Use of photoshop to provide presentable format.

Remarks: Students participated with enthusiasm and express their interest in continuing the workshop more than 3 days. Feedback form indicate the great success of the workshop.
