Description of Event:
The School of Mechanical Engineering in association with B.E Friends Trust (R) organized a social Outreach programme at the adopted Government School of Bhatramarnahalli village, Devanahalli as part of 77th Independence Day celebrations.
After 77 years of Indian Independence, there are still many people, who are not able to afford basic facilities to lead a happy life in the society and one of the means of addressing this issue is through helping hands provided to needy people by different stack holders.
The Government School of Bhatramaranahlli village is situated in Devanahalli taluk of Bengaluru rural district and is providing education to many rural students from many decades. There are many students studying in this Government school, who inhale from economically weaker sections and was in the need of Note Books for academic purpose. The NSS team along with the help of an NGO raised the funds required for this outreach programme and purchased around 252 books of worth Rupees 6,330/- and the same was donated to all the students of the school.
Following are the outcomes achieved with this outreach:
We thank our beloved chancellor Dr. P. Shyama Raju for providing all the facilities for social outreach. Our special thanks to Vice Chancellor Dr M Dhanamyjaya for encouraging all of us. We also thank Dr. K S Narayana Swamy, Director, School of Mechanical Engineering, for motivating us for such programmes.
