The School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at REVA University, in collaboration with the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), organized "Prathyusha 2023," an event series dedicated to empowering aspiring women entrepreneurs on November 6, 2023. As part of this impactful initiative, 18 female students from REVA University visited the village of Sathanur to engage with and address rural women. Ms. Pramodini Gowda, representing NRLM, shed light on the various schemes available under the NRLM, Government of India, designed to facilitate self-employment opportunities, particularly for women in rural areas. Additionally, three dedicated students from REVA University took the stage to raise awareness on crucial topics including the role of women in family and society, women's literacy, and menstrual and personal hygiene. Dr.SudharaniPotturi added her insights into the importance of both mental and physical health for women. The event was made possible through the support, encouragement, and guidance of Dr. Raghu C N, the Director of the School of EEE at REVA University, reflecting the institution's commitment to fostering social change and empowering women in rural communities.
