Literary Club, School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of REVA University conducted essay writing competition on 01 March 2023. The venue of the event was Central Library lawn. Students from various schools participated in the event with great fervor and enthusiasm.
Students came up with brilliant perspectives on the given themes, i.e., gender sensitivity, Chat GPT, and Revival of Indigenous Culture. Many students used the opportunity effectively to share their novel thoughts with respect to the selected themes. The judges and the faculty coordinator gave guidelines regarding the rules and time management.
It was an individual event. Every participant’s performance was judged on the criteria of originality of the content, clarity of language, and presentation skills. The Faculty coordinator was Prof. Rameesa P M. The judges for the event were Prof. Uma Devi and Prof. Arun Kumar. 52 students participated in the event. The judges were felicitated and vote of thanks was delivered by Prof. Rameesa.
The performances were evaluated on the fixed criteria and the result was as below:
First Prize: Joshna Prakash ( III BA PEJ)
Second Prize: G P Jahnavi (II BA PEJ)
Third Prize: Megha Nayak (II BA PEJ)
