The School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, had organized an expert lecture on 17th March 2023. The lecture titled “The Magical World of Latin America” was delivered by Dr. Shireen Nedungadi, Retd. Professor of English and Principal, National College, Bengaluru on MS Teams platform. Dr. Nedungadi’s lecture explored the nuances of magical realism with special references to the literature of Latin America. Her lecture emphasized the significance of ‘magical realism’ in developing the literary narratives and addressed the need to employ it as a tool in writing. The session was followed by questions by students and faculty members of the school.
Mr. Madhusudhan N, Research scholar of SoAHSS coordinated the entire event and the session was attended by the literature students of BA JEP program along with the faculty members.
