In a bid to bridge the gap between academia and industry, the School of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at REVA University, Bengaluru, recently organized an enlightening webinar on the integration of "Battery Energy Storage System to Power Grid." The event featured both in-person attendees and virtual participants via MS Teams. The webinar, held on September 12, 2023, showcased the expertise of Mr. Sameer Sharma, a System Integration Engineer from RWE Battery Solution GmbH in Dresden, Germany, who provided valuable insights into battery energy storage systems and their crucial role in modern power grids. He delved into the technical aspects of integrating these systems into power grids, offering real-world examples and case studies from RWE's projects in Germany. The event not only enhanced students' understanding of battery energy storage systems but also highlighted their growing significance in renewable energy generation, promising career opportunities for experts in this field. The targeted audience for this informative session was the B.Tech 5B students from the School of EEE at REVA University. Students actively engaged with Mr. Sharma, posing questions and participating in discussions.
