Department of Biochemistry organized a Health Talk titled “General Principles of Cancer, Incidence and Treatment” on 25/06/21 on Microsoft Teams. The resource person was Resource Person was Dr Ajay Rao P, Chief consultant Radiology oncologist, Cytecare Cancer Hospitals. Around 90 students and faculty members of the school attended the webinar. He introduced the General principles of cancer. He explained about the 5 most prevalent cancers globally. The different treatment methods were explained. Many myths about Cancer were discussed and the reality was explained. He ended by telling that Cancer is a disease that breaks rules. The attendees also consulted him with their diagnostic reports and got their doubts clarified.
