Journalism and Mass Communication department of REVA university celebrated World Photography Day on 19 August, 2019 here on Monday.

Aijaz Rahi, a professional photographer working with US based media Organisation was the chief guest for the programme.Mr Rahi has vast knowledge in the field of photography and has about 25 years of experience in the field.

 As it has been rightly said that ''one picture speaks more than thousand words". Mr Rahi during his address said there is a ''Thin line in photo journalism and a photo journalist must work below this thinline". 

Ethics and credibility are the two important things in the field of journalism. "A person should be a good observer and must wait with patience to get a good picture", said Rahi during his address. 

Audience comprising of both UG and PG students Were exposed to variety of photos ranging from war field to World Population Day clicked by Rahi during his visits to different places.

During question answer session student asked varied questions to which Mr Rahi answered sensibly. He guided the students about the advanced development,technology and future in the field of photography.

Chief guest has mentioned that photo journalist need to be creative and innovative to impress the viewers, he must adopt himself to situation as work demands. At the end he reminded the students about the risk factor in the field and motivated then to be courageous and be on the side of the truth.
