The Department of Biotechnology, School of Applied Sciences organized a guest talk on 04/11/2022. The resource person for the talk was Dr. Balasubramanian N, Senior Scientist, Xcyton Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru. The talk was conducted in APJ Hall, SoAS block. 101 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the department of Biotechnology and Microbial technology attended the session.

The session started with a brief introduction of the resource person by Dr. Santosh Anand followed by welcoming the guest. Dr. Balasubramanian started his deliberation with the basics of nano concept and its application in diagnostics and biotechnology sector. He spoke about the ongoing research that he is carrying out presently in his laboratory at Xcyton Diagnostics Private Linited. Dr. Balasubramanian further introduced the students with the understanding of 18 species at a time identification of the diagnostic panels devised in his laboratory at Xcyton.
