On account of Founder’s day, Department of Biochemistry in association with REVA Health centre conducted a Health check-up for all the REVA staff members from 02/01/2020 to 14/01/2020. The health check-up included diagnosing the Blood glucose level, Lipid profile and Haematology. 395 staff members were a part of this initiative including Dr Dhanamjaya, Registrar, Dr Ramesh N, Dean of Training and Placements, Dr Ramachandra, Registrar evaluation. Staff members got the opportunity of getting themselves checked at the Biochemistry laboratory with the help of Biochemistry and Haematology analyser without outsourcing it. Trained B.MLT graduates who are pursuing M.Sc Biochemistry were a major part of the entire workshop starting from Blood withdrawal to analysing the factors. Prior to this, Dr Sayed Moineedin, Operation Manager from Sakra Hospital and clinician from TEEKAYS Laboratories addressed the students from B.Sc MLT and trained them with the Blood withdrawal procedures on 30.12.19. Now REVA University is all set to open a diagnostic centre of our own.
