Centre of Excellence in “Microelectronics and IoT Systems” in collaboration with NXP Semiconductors, India is inaugurated on 31st October 2019 at 11.00AM in NXP lab, 1st Floor, C V Raman Block followed by inaugural programme in Kalpana Chawla Seminar Hall.

Guest of Honour from NXP India:
Mr. Jwalant Director of SoC, Automotive business line and Mr. Hitesh Garg Director of Analog IPs & Bangalore Site Manager, Mr. Desingh -System Architect, Mr. Sainath - System Architect SoC and Mr. Sunil- System Architect and IC design witnessed the occasion.
NXP Semiconductors has sponsored research equipment/ software of worth Rupees 50,000/- as an initial funding to establish the lab facilities. NXP Semiconductor Engineers and ECE faculty have jointly identified the key R & D areas and formulated the project problem definitions. Presently School of ECE is executing the four industry projects in collaboration with NXP Semiconductors. Centre of Excellence has provided internship for five PG students and nine B.Tech. students.
The key benefits of the Collaboration between school of ECE, REVA University and NXP Semiconductors is summarized as follows-
Dr. S. Y. Kulkarni Sir, Vice-Chancellor, REVA University welcomed the delegates from NXP Semiconductors. Mr. Jwalant Joshipura, Director SoC, NXP Semiconductor, briefed the activities carried out in Centre of Excellence. Mr. Andrew Turley, Chief Guest, outlined the importance of benefits of collaboration between REVA and NXP. Dr. S. Y. Kulkarni Sir, Vice-Chancellor, REVA University gave presidential remarks. In his speech, he focused on the importance and meaning of professional courses. He emphasized on skill development certification and advantages of such student chapters. Dr. R. C. Biradar, Director ECE delivered the vote of thanks.
