The inauguration of the new batch of non-technical programmes of the 2023 batch was held at REVA University on Friday. The inauguration was held for the courses like B.Com, BBA, BCA and B.Sc courses for the year 2023. Dr Gururaj Karajagi, Chairman, Academy of Creative Teaching, inaugurated the orientation and Induction programme held on campus. Addressing the gathering of new students and parents, Dr Gururaj said that success is not about the position, but what you achieve and do by being in that position. “For some money is success. For others, it is fame and power. But my advice to you is that none of these matters. Instead, anyone who lives for others will be remembered and those who live for themselves will be forgotten easily. Hence success is measured by how well you live”
Quoting stories from his experiences, he added that use this opportunity at REVA to become the leaders of tomorrow and become better human beings.
Presiding over the function and welcoming the new students, Dr P Shyama Raju, Chancellor of REVA University said that education is not just about getting a degree, but it is what they learn beyond the classroom. “We are a Social Impact University and hence we have several programmes that impart holistic education and are beneficial to the society.” He also reiterated the need to promote self-learning.
Dr M Dhanamjaya, Vice Chancellor, REVA University; Dr N Ramesh, Registrar, REVA University, also spoke on the occasion. The event was attended by professors from respective schools, parents, and students.
