School of Allied Health Sciences organized Industrial Visit to ICMR_NIN (ICMR-National Institute of Nutrition), Hyderabad for the Students of B.Sc Nutrition and Dietetics on 02.03.2023 & 03.03.02023. IV semester & II semester students total number 42 along with three faculty visited the ICMR lab & Museum. The students on the arrival were addressed and an AV of the history & research facilities of ICMR_NIN was played enlightening students on the long years history and the various research work and the equipment/instrumentation availability was made aware. Followed by this students visited the Nutrition Museum where they saw various models and the knowledgeable information about the epidemiological population of the country. The resource person was the scientist who is working in the Food Chemistry Lab in NIN. He showed around the various labs of the NIN and gave a overview on how various samples are collected and analysed with each lab, the sessions were interactive with active participation from faculty & students. The students gained knowledge about the various labs and equipment and general ideology of the research in the field of Nutrition.
