The School of Arts & Humanities organized Industry Expert Talk on “Journalism Rudiments in the age of Convergence Media” on 10th March 2023 through online conferencing platform, Microsoft Teams at 11:45pm. The resource person for the event was Mr. Sujoy Dhar, Founder and Editor, India Blooms News Service. The lecture was organised for the students of Arts and Humanities. 60 students attended the session. The resource person emphasized on various aspects of online journalism in terms of conflict, politics, human interest, spread of fake news etc. The session was highly informative and the students’ gained insights on how to be stay abreast with the latest technologies and trends and develop skills. The topic was relevant to the media courses and oriented towards job opportunities in this niche field for media students. The lecture ended with a ‘Question and Answer Session’ that was both informative and engaging. The students approached the resource person with specific queries, which were clarified effectively.
