School of Mechanical Engineering in association University Industry Interaction Centre organized session on “Intellectual Property – Concept, Identification and Creation” on 06th October 2023 from 09.30 to 10.30 am for 1st Sem students of Mechatronics.
The speaker for the session was Ms. Arshiya Ambreen. 

The session started with a brief introduction to IP. Resource person gave an eye opener session on IP, the basic characteristics of creations and innovation required for it to be called as an IP.  The Session was well executed with a good insight of innovation, patentable subject matter, the Concept of Prior Art was also introduced. The Speaker even touched upon the Concept of Design Patent, Utility Patent, copy right and Trade Mark. The main aim of the session was to introduce the concept of IP at an early stage so as to make them aware of the changing trends in the education system and have the students motivated to contribute to the innovation and have their Idea protected. 

The whole session was fruitful as it was interactive and students who attended  the session are able to comprehend the word IP and different branches of IP.
