Description: It is a pleasure to inform all that the School of ECE has organized “Interdisciplinary Talk (Engineering Doctor for better tomorrow:  Multidisciplinary Research avenues.)” on 7th August 2020 between 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The use of the term "multidisciplinary" has in recent years been overtaken by the term "interdisciplinary”. Multidisciplinary work is often seen as revolutionary by skill-centred specialists. The multidisciplinary approach has recently become of interest to government agencies and some enlightened professional bodies who recognise the advantages of systems thinking for complex problem solving. Present education system has been modified such that the structure is designed based on  multidisciplinary concepts. 

Engineering Doctor for better tomorrow : Medical careers require a particular skill set such as problem-solving, synthesis of a lot of information, endurance, and a genuine commitment to service and research. Engineers, who learn these skills through their coursework, develop unique strengths for success in medicine. 
The speaker highlighted the importance of multidisciplinary research, challenges and future.

Some of the Challenges facing currently were highlighted:
1.  Competent Human Resource.
2.  Knowledge on other disciplines.
3.  Project management and oversight.
4.  Requirements
5.  Productive Environment.

The resource person of the Interdisciplinary Talk was  Dr. R.S. Upendra, Assoc.Professor, Head Research & Innovations, School of Multidiscplinary Studies, REVA University. Prof. Upendra is a M.Sc. (Biotechnology) , M.Tech (Biotechnology) and Phd (Applied Sciences: Biotechnology )with 15 years of experience in teaching. His contributions in the field of Research is remarkable. 
Around 38 Faculty from the School of ECE attended the interdisciplinary talk.
We would like to thank our Honorable Chancellor Dr. P. Shyama Raju Sir for providing all facility and support to organize such events. We also thank Registrar Dr. M. Dhanamjaya sir, Dean, Placement, Training, and Planning Dr. N. Ramesh sir.
We thank Dean –Research & Innovation Council –REVA University, Dr. B.P.Divakar, for organizing and encouraging us to take up Research talks.
We would like to thank Dr.Rajashekar C Biradar, Director, Asst. Director Dr.Sudharshan  - Electronics and Communication Engineering, for providing all the facilities, support and encouragement towards organizing the session.
We thank the research coordinators, Electronics and Communication Engineering and all the staff members involved for the successful conduction of the session
