About the event 

REVA University IPR Cell, In association with Ministry of Education, Institution Innovation Cell(MIC), AICTE, DPIIT, Indian Patent Office (IPO) Organizes session “IPR Awareness Program under KAPILA & NIPAM2.0”on 8th  February, 2023 from 11.00 am to 12.30pm .

The speaker for the session was Ramashish Paul, Examiner of Patents and Designs, Group ‘A’ Gazetted Officer Intellectual Property Office, Chennai DPIIT (Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade) Ministry of Commerce & Industry Government Of India. 

About the Speaker 

A B.Sc. student from St. Collumba’s college, Hazaribagh in 2010, who completed M.Sc. from Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribagh in 2012. Did his,  M. Tech. from IIT Delhi in 2016, has  cleared various national level examinations like CSIR-NET in 2012 and 2013, GATE in 2014 with AIR 190. presentlt working as a NIPAM officer to spread IPR awareness among students and faculties in various colleges and universities across the Nation.

About the Session 

The session started with a brief introduction to IP. Resource person gave a deeper insight of IP, the basic characteristics of creations and innovation required for it be called as an IP, day to day examples were explained that the attendees could easily relate to and understand. The Brief session on the documentation of the patent was given regarding the format and information that should be given in a systematic manner The Speaker also spoke about Copyright, Designs, Trade Mark and Trade Secrets and even about the procedure to be followed while drafting a complete specification (Form-2). The whole session was interactive and interesting. 

The session was organized in Kuvempu Auditorium.
