Students & Faculty of REVA University, Bangalore attended the Leadership Talk Series with Mr. Abhishek Suryawanshi, Director, Wikipedia Swastha on 07th April 2020 11: 00 AM.

In this Talk series Dr. Abhay Jere, Chief Innovation Officer, MHRD Innovation cell and Mr. Abhishek Suryawanshi, Director, Wikipedia Swastha discussed the following points:

• Mr. Abhishek Suryawanshi is the Director & India In charge of Wikipedia Swastha. He is 28 years age old from Maharashtra, India.
• In the year of 18 he started his journey with Wikipedia as editor and now he is Director and India In charge for Wikipedia.
• Mr. Abhishek Suryawanshi Getting paid for Fundraising and Partnerships/Collaborations with other organizations.
• Mr. Abhishek Suryawanshi explained how to become Wikipedia Editor and also explained what are all different stages are there in Wikipedia.
• In Wikipedia 1st stage is Editor, 2nd reviewer, 3rd Moderator, and 4th and higher position will be Admin.
• Wikipedia works with pool of volunteers and editor model
• In India around 200 volunteers are working with volunteer and editor model.
• Wikipedia will give the Resources, financial and non-financial support for the passionate volunteers and most of the Volunteers are Un Paid for the editing work.
