LI and Le - 2023 International Student Film Festival and SAMAAVESHA 2nd Edition
The School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is hosting
‘SAMAAVESHA’ 2nd Edition & International Students' Film Festival Li & Le, aligned with United Nations SDG#5, a program on inclusivity and diversity, focused on gender equality.
The program will host Smt. Kushboo Sundar, a well-known Indian Actress and Executive Council Member - of BJP who will speak on the topic - Women in Indian Politics, Cinema and Society and
Smt. Maya Sharma, Freelance Journalist and Writer who has worked in leadership roles at NDTV for three decades. Chancellor of REVA University
Dr. P. Shyama Raju will preside over the event.
The
SAMAAVESHA program is conceptualised to achieve gender equality. The program aims to advocate suitable legal frameworks and the representation of individuals of all gender orientations at national levels or in local deliberative bodies. Interspersed with the concept of the SAMAAVESHA program, we are inaugurating Li & Le 2023, International Students' Film Festival aligned with SDG#5 which will showcase and screen films on gender representation and empowerment, providing an eminent platform for film directors, students, film enthusiasts, and media personnel to deliberate on gender issues assailing the modern society.
