REVA university, celebrated its much awaited second annual National Film Festival Li and Le on 12th and 13th of March, 2020. The 2 day festival hosted by the School of Arts and Humanities, consists of both entertaining contests like photography, concept ads, best storyboard and much more. Various industry experts will be hosting workshops related to cinematography, film editing, acting, etc.
The Inaugural event was graced by noted personalities like T.S. Nagabharana, director of both parallel and mainstream cinemas, Prakash Belawadi, renowned actor, writer, journalist, trainer and R.J and Pradeepa Sivalingam radio jockey, journalist and the founder of SAKKATH studio.
The event began at 11.30 a.m in REVA Rangasthala with an invocation song by Manasi from the School of commerce. After the ceremonious lighting of the lamp, Vice Chancellor Dr. S.Y. Kulkarni welcomed the guests with a speech. Honourable chancellor, Dr. P. Shyam Raju honoured the guests with the silk cloth, turban and momento. Each guest spoke on the importance of audio- visual means of communication, especially in today's tech-savvy generation.
Apart from the inauguration, various exciting events were conducted like quiz, photography contests, ad concept, and open mic competition with participation from students from various colleges along with students from REVA University.
The national film festival Li and Le came to an end with the valedictory ceremony after the screening of short films. The chief guest spoke at length, commenting on the various aspects of the short films like the plot line and technicalities.
Following the speech the prizes of the 2 days event were distributed and Mr. manjunath, faculty,Mass communication and Journalism gave the vote of thanks. Post the valedictory “Bashaa” was screened for the audience.
