School of Civil Engineering, REVA UNIVERSITY adopted a Government Higher Primary School, Marenahalli, Bengaluru under Government school adoption programme (ABHIVRIDDHI).

As part of ABHIVRIDDHI programme, School of Civil Engineering, REVA University organized “National Science Day-2021” celebration at Marenahalli on 1st March- 2021 between 11.00 AM to 2.00 PM under theme of ‘Science of today is the technology of tomorrow’. February 28 was designated as National Science Day (NSD) by Government of India in 1987. This day is celebrated to remember the great invention by the Indian Physicist C.V.Raman who discovered ‘Raman’s Effect’. Students and Teachers of Government Higher primary school, Marenahalli, Faculties of Civil Engineering, REVA University and student volunteer’s held assembly to mark this occasion. The day began with Introduction of our Scientist Dr. C.V. Raman by Dr.P.Shivananda Professor, REVA University followed by various activities. Students from Std V to VIII participated in Quiz, and clay model making competitions. 
It was indeed a very knowledgeable day in which the main motive was to spread a message about the importance of Science used in the daily life of the people.

The prizes were awarded to the winners of the competitions and the chocolates and Pens were distributed to all the other participants as well as the audience of the event.

1. Quiz: All the students were participated in quiz activities. Prizes were distributed to top scorer.
2. Clay Modeling: Yamuna, Pavan.S, Pavan.P, Santhosh, Manish, Lakshminarayan shashtri, Kannan, Nikhil, Akash, Swpna, Bhagyasri.
