The School of Civil Engineering, in association with Smt. Rukmini Shyama Raju Club for Social Service, REVA University-Bengaluru has organized one day National workshop on “Sustainable Development to battle Global Warming” on Thursday, 17th October 2019. This workshop had a motive to bring in the awareness of Global warming & its challenges to the stakeholders and also to support the on-going Jagruthi phase-2. Renowned speakers from Industry and Academia were identify as resource persons to deliberate their experiences through the case-studies to reach the audience of 75 students from B.Tech. & M.Tech including in-house faculty members. This workshop has enlighten the challenges of the world and highlighted the impacts of climate change and its vulnerability and need for sustainable development to battle Global warming.
Organising committee on behalf of School of Civil Engg., thank the Honourable Chancellor Dr. P. Shyama Raju sir for his inception to social awareness in the way of Jagruthi programmes. We also thank Vice Chancellor Dr. S. Y. Kulkarni sir, Registrar Dr. M. Dhanamjaya sir and other university officers for their encouragement and support. We also extend our special thanks to Dr. Y.Ramalinga Reddy sir, Director- School of Civil Engg, for motivating and constantly supporting us in conducting this kind of events.
