School of Civil Engineering, in association with International Relations and Research Collaborations, Organised an International Guest Lecture on “Opportunities for Civil Engineers in Middle East Countries” by Ms. Charlot Nalankilli, Senior Lecturer and National University of Science and Technology, Oman. The Session was started at 11.30 AM by Dr. Chunchu Bala Rama Krishna. Prof. Bhavana, Director Incharge, welcomed the guest speaker. The speaker explained the opportunities available for civil engineers in Middle East Countries and discussed education, work culture, timings and professional ethics in Oman. The speaker gave power point presentation on job opportunities, skills required for civil engineers and facilities available for infrastructure development in Middle Eastern countries. Forty-seven students of B.Tech and M.Tech attended and gave their feedback at the end of the session. Participants cleared their doubts and also enquired about the higher education admission process followed by Middle Eastern countries and job openings in various fields of civil engineering. The session ended at 12.30 PM with a vote of thanks by Dr. S. Srikanth Reddy.
