Poetry Club of School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences of REVA University has conducted ‘Recite Your Poem’ event on 16th April 2021 through online conferencing platform (Microsoft Teams). Students from various programmes participated in the event with great fervour and enthusiasm. It was an individual event. Every participant was given 90 seconds to recite the poem that they have written and some time to talk about the background. The poem was recited either in English, Kannada or Hindi. Students were encouraged to keep up their creative writing skill and using poetry as a medium to express their thoughts and ideas. The Faculty Coordinators were Prof. Ajesh C (English), Dr. Prasanna (Kannada), and Dr. Maya (Hindi). The students expressed their joy and excitement for having a platform to polish their creative writing and thinking skills. They were very excited to participate in the upcoming events of the club.
